Fits GM LS-series V8 engines used in Chevrolet Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Sierra, Yukon and related truck and SUV applications from 1997 to 2013.

This kit is typically used in service situations where camshaft lobe wear and lifter wear have affected valvetrain operation. In LS engines, the camshaft and lifters operate under direct contact conditions, and wear on one component generally leads to corresponding wear on the other.

During teardown, this condition is commonly observed in higher mileage engines or where lubrication conditions have affected surface contact. Replacing only the camshaft or lifters individually may result in abnormal wear patterns after installation.

This kit provides a matched camshaft and lifter set to support proper contact and valvetrain function. It may also be used where a higher lift cam profile is required, provided that related components are inspected during installation.

Servicing these components together helps maintain valve timing accuracy and reduces the likelihood of repeat engine disassembly.
