Fits GM LS-series V8 engines used in Chevrolet, GMC and related truck and SUV applications from 1997 onward (non-AFM/DOD configurations).

This kit is used in service situations where camshaft lobe wear and lifter wear have affected valvetrain operation. In LS engines, camshaft lobes and lifters operate under continuous contact. Once wear begins, both components typically require replacement to maintain proper surface contact.

During teardown, this condition is commonly observed in higher mileage engines or where lubrication conditions have affected wear patterns. Valve springs are also inspected at this stage, as spring fatigue can reduce valve control and affect camshaft performance.

Replacing camshaft, lifters, and valve springs together helps maintain correct valvetrain geometry, restore valve control, and reduce the likelihood of abnormal wear after installation.
